Dar es Salaam, a major city and commercial port on Tanzania’s Indian Ocean coast, grew from a fishing village. It is the most populous city in Tanzania and the fifth most populous in Africa. In 2020, the population was estimated to be 6.4 million.

Culinary Class: We’ll experience Swahili cuisine at its finest at Afrikando restaurant - this is a must-visit spot for foodies located off the beaten path and serving up delicious treats curated by a Famous Chef Fred. Enjoy what you cook + engaging storytelling from Chef. Once you've had your fill, you can either head back home to rest or explore the nightlife

Come explore this eclectic, vibrant downtown Dar es Salaam neighborhood through its food, stories and people. What was once a quaint fishing town is now an exciting bustling community featuring dishes from all over the world! We'll enjoy a curated foodie crawl while hearing the history of what was, what is, and what has become one of Dar es Salaam’s hottest neighborhoods. Get your cameras out & Look out for the bespoke boutiques & cute cafés!
Visit the local markets: food and fish markets, learn local food history + enjoy tastings on the way! Perfect day to shop for souvenirs.
Meet: Chef Grace is obsessed with this Mango Pili Pili hot sauce! Fatma Riyami, The founder of Natureripe Kilimanjaro Ltd., a leading food venture, turned her artisan product into a successful business. We will hear her inspiring story, sample the products + shop local!
Craving burgers for lunch? We got you. We will take you to a place they serve *the best* burgers in town.Maybe...Chef will change lives and sneak in some Mango Pili Pili sauce
History + Dance: Experience the historic Village museum tour of the Tanzanian tribes, followed by cultural dancing.We'll return to rest at the hotel then enjoy a fun night out in Dar es Salaam.

Nyerere National Park! Start your day with a tasty breakfast and checking out of your hotel at 7:00am. Enjoy a 5.5 hour drive to the park, taking in the scenery along the way. Once you arrive at the lodge at 1:00pm, settle in and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we'll enjoy a relaxing boat cruise while sipping on drinks and enjoying snacks as you watch the sunset. You'll be staying at the lovely Selous Kinga Lodge.

Morning Adventure: Meet with Bushman for a walking tour to learn about wild foods and its therapeutic medicines. Afterwards, satisfy your natural hunger with an Endure in a Hot Bush Breakfast.
Safari - Venture on a Safari Game drive and fill your picnic basket with a savory lunch to devour amidst breathtaking scenery. After some exploration, return to the lodge to unwind with a refreshing swim or simply rest.
Evening - Share your experiences with the group during the Journal hour. Then, savor a delectable Special Dinner crafted by a talented private chef. Immerse yourself in the flavors of Africa on this unforgettable food journey.

The Journey - Road Trip to Dar es Salaam then take a flight to Zanzibar and check in to your hotel. Take some time to relax and freshen up before heading to dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The Maru Maru Hotel is the perfect place to stay while indulging in Zanzibar's delicious cuisine + the Night Street Food Market. Bon appetit!

The Secret Food Tour - Your tour will unlock secret food havens nestled in historic neighborhoods and you'll discover the hidden history found around every corner of Stone town. Visit the slave market and the local food market, where you'll get to taste four different, authentic Zanzibari dishes.

Get ready for a spice tour where you'll learn about the famous spices grown on this island. Did you know that Zanzibar is known as Africa’s Spice Island? Learn more about the history of this name. After exploring, you'll get to roll up your sleeves and put on an apron for a culinary class with a local chef.
Get ready to make authentic Swahili food using local ingredients. The class is hands-on, and you'll be involved in the preparation and cooking. You'll learn how to make Pilau, a festive dish that is much loved in Zanzibar. You'll use fresh and aromatic spices that will tantalize your taste buds. And the best part? You get to eat your creation afterwards! You'll even get to take home the recipe so that you can impress your friends and family with your authentic cooking!
